We want you to become the best possible photographer in the shortest period of time.
Some photographers do not necessarily possess the technical lighting and production knowledge without the aid of assistants. Shutter Bootcamp is an easy way for pros, amateurs and beginners to take giant leaps in a matter of hours. Bootcamps are led by award-winning photographer, Eric Garcia-March. Creative director, Glenn Batkin provides support for photographers with critiques and portfolio reviews during most bootcamps.
Besides learning years' worth of photography in a weekend, Shutter Bootcamp provides social support for those taking part. The idea is that everyone involved works at their own pace as they team up and work towards one goal, either in pairs, small teams of three or four, or even two teams head on.
Shutter Bootcamp : The moment it all clicks
Words from Eric Garcia-March
I founded Shutter Bootcamp to help people become better photographers. Teaching and seeing people thrive in the field of photography is rewarding on a personal level.
One of my greatest teachers at Brooks Institute of Photography was Paul Meyer. Before he came to Brooks, he was Richard Avedon's first assistant for 20 years. Let's just say he knew a thing or two about photography.
20+ years later, I am an award-winning photographer as well as an adjunct professor at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. For the past 15 years I have specialized in fashion and portrait photography for international luxury brands and magazines. Clients have included: Swarovski, Austrian Airlines, Ogilvy, BBDO and Hewlett Packard. Throughout the years, I have had the pleasure to see my work on covers of magazines and billboards worldwide. In August 2018, my work was published online in Vogue Magazine.
I look forward to meeting you and being instrumental in your development as a photographer.
